How to connect a key reader

Before adding keys to the system, you need to connect the Touch Memory (TM) reader to the hub.
Before you start, carefully check the wire markings on the reader itself — terminal labels may vary depending on the device model.
1. Turn off the hub power
This is required to prevent a short circuit during installation.
2. Locate the 1-Wire terminal on the hub board
On the hub board, find the terminal block labeled CN_1-WIRE.
The terminal has three contacts:
• − (minus / GND)
• S (signal)
• + (plus / power supply)
Loosen the terminal screws before connecting the wires.
3. Connect the reader wires
Connect the Touch Memory reader as follows:
— TM (+) on the reader → − terminal on the hub
— TM (−) on the reader → S terminal on the hub
4. Secure the wires
Tighten the terminal screws to fix the wires securely in place.
5. Turn the hub power back on
After powering on, the reader will be ready for adding and using keys in the system.
