Wired temperature sensors
The GARM system supports digital wired temperature sensors connected through the 1-Wire interface. These sensors can be used to monitor temperature indoors, outdoors, in boiler rooms, warehouses, refrigeration units, and other environments.
In this section, you will learn how to connect temperature sensors to the hub, configure their display in the app, and set temperature thresholds that trigger system notifications or actions.
Before you begin
You can connect up to 15 temperature sensors to a single GARM hub. However, for reliable operation, no more than 10 sensors should be connected to a single 1-Wire bus.
Installation recommendations

Use a cable with a conductor cross-section of no more than 0.5 mm².

A shielded cable is recommended to reduce electrical interference.

The maximum cable length should not exceed the limits specified by the sensor manufacturer. In most installations, a length of 100–150 meters (330–490 ft) is recommended.

Avoid running sensor cables alongside mains power cables (220 V).

Ensure all connections are secure and protect contacts from moisture if the sensor is installed outdoors or in a humid environment.

Each sensor must have a unique address so that the system can identify it correctly.
To ensure that all connected temperature sensors are detected correctly, verify that each sensor has a unique digital address.
It is also important that the 1-Wire bus is properly terminated according to the requirements of the 1-Wire standard. Proper termination helps ensure stable communication and prevents data transmission errors.
